WHAT IS THE MOJO 6?

The Mojo 6 is an innovative and new golf entertainment experience founded by Mojo Marketing & Media, the only entertainment company whose mission is to encourage social responsibility.  The Mojo 6 will have its debut in Jamaica, and is slated to appear in other locations in the future. The Mojo 6 features the “Raceway Golf” format, a unique way to play golf where 16 golfers compete over two days, and play 30 six-hole matches in 30 hours.  If the traditional 18-hole tournament is a marathon, Raceway Golf is a sprint. 

Keeping with Mojo Marketing & Media’s commitment to social responsibility, each Mojo 6 event will include a strong charitable component that encourages participants to develop their own, personal social conscience.

WHAT IS RACEWAY GOLF?

Raceway Golf is a new, unique golf format that preserves the fundamentals of golf, while adding cumulative scoring and the opportunity to choose your opponent. Played over two days, it includes 30 six-hole matches in 30 hours. If the traditional 18-hole tournament is a marathon, Raceway Golf is a sprint.

Raceway Golf pits 16 golfers against one another as they battle out a series of six-hole matches to crown a winner; competing on the same six holes throughout the tournament. Players will face new challenges throughout the tournament, as each hole-design changes after each round, and players must strategize by picking their opponents.

You will be seeing Raceway Golf appear as an emerging trend in golf after the first Mojo 6 tournament in Jamaica in April 2010.  All Mojo 6 events will use Raceway Golf as their format,

The great benefit of Raceway golf is that players compete in a fast-paced, head-to-head format where they select their competitors according to rank.

Raceway Golf provides a fun and active entertainment experience that includes all traditional components of golf, while adding fun elements like head-to-head competition and shorter play time.

 

HOW ARE THE PLAYERS RANKED IN A RACEWAY GOLF TOURNAMENT?

Sixteen professional LPGA players are ranked from 1 to 16 based on their Rolex World Rankings.  On Day One, the players, according to rank, will select their opponents to create eight paired matches.  On Day Two, the players are place into a tournament single bracket format according to their ranks from Day One play; #1 plays #8, #2 plays #7, #3 plays #6 and #4 plays #5.

WHAT IS THE CHARITABLE COMPONENT WITH THE MOJO 6?

As with all Mojo Marketing & Media properties, The Mojo 6 tournaments will include activities designed to increase awareness about the importance of charities and invite viewers and participants alike to get involved a make a difference.  Since no two markets are, this element of each The Mojo 6 tournament will reflect the unique character, needs and opportunities for charity involvement of its host market.

 

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE MOJO 6?

The purpose of Mojo 6 is to provide professional golfers with a new venue to play their favorite sport, and provide golf fans with an entertaining sport experience.  With competitive purses, a unique match format and a fully-integrated charitable component, The Mojo 6 offers benefits to professional golfers and viewers alike.

 

WHEN CAN I SEE THE MOJO 6 EVENT IN ACTION?

The first annual Mojo 6 tournament will debut in Montego Bay, Jamaica on April 15-16, 2010, and is an LPGA-sanctioned event.  The tournament will feature 16 of the top LPGA players in the world who will compete for a $1 million purse.  This exclusive, invite-only event will bring professional golf into Jamaica for the first time in 20 years.

The Mojo 6 will be broadcast world-wide on CBS Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2, 2010, as a two-part, family-friendly program that will include programming elements not typically part of an LPGA or other sporting event. 

 

HOW WAS THE MOJO 6 CREATED AND WHAT IS ITS PURPOSE?
